The grind
I got good at the only thing I know. Learned the trick of it — hack a stack, sell it before the weight drags you to a crawl, stay light, go again. The levels came: two, then three, then four. I climbed the hacking boards past names I'd never meet — WeeWillie, Zen — just numbers rising in the dark. Thousands of coins through my hands. It worked. It was also, if I'm honest, a little bit like being a machine.
